Serjeants’ Inn—Angus Moon QC & Michael Horne QC

Serjeants’ Inn announces new Heads of Chambers

Angus Moon QC (pictured) and Michael Horne QC have been unanimously elected as Joint Head of Chambers at Serjeants’ Inn, the Fleet Street set which specialises in high-stakes cases, often involving important legal, ethical and social issues.

Michael succeeds John Beggs QC, who relinquishes his role after ten years to focus on his award-winning practice. John oversaw a transformation in Chambers in his tenure as co-head, alongside James Watson QC initially and then Angus since 2012.

Since 2015, Serjeants’ Inn has recruited 25 new tenants and won 28 legal industry awards. Its silk team has increased from eight to 22 QCs. It was among the first sets to receive the Bar Council Certificate of Excellence in Wellbeing and we continue to attract the key briefs in crucial cases, such as the proceedings relating to Alfie Evans, the Deepcut inquests and the Manchester Arena Inquiry.

Serjeants’ Inn looks forward to continuing progress under the leadership of Angus and Michael.
