Sharpe Pritchard LLP has appointed Victoria Heald-Barraclough as Partner, strengthening its ability to support capital providers, developers and public-sector partners on the financing and delivery of complex green and regulated infrastructure.
The appointment highlights Shape Pritchard’s focus on supporting the most innovative projects where capital meets green. Sharpe Pritchard’s focus is to help investors, lenders, sponsors and infrastructure platforms turn ambitious energy transition and regulated asset opportunities into deliverable, financeable projects.
Victoria is an infrastructure finance specialist with magic circle experience across the full lifecycle of major PPP/PFI and regulated infrastructure projects, from procurement, structuring and financing through to construction, operations, expansion and complex refinancing. She joins the Sharpe Pritchard Renewables leadership team with Steve Gummer, Allan Owen and Nimoy Kher. Her arrival expands Sharpe Pritchard’s technical strength in the capital structures, stakeholder interfaces and delivery risks that determine whether major projects can move from concept to committed investment.
Victoria joins Sharpe Pritchard from the Private Markets and Real Estate Structuring team at asset manager Aberdeen. Prior to that she was a Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Associate at A&O Shearman.
Steve Gummer, Partner said:
“Green infrastructure does not get built on ambition alone. It needs capital, confidence and bankable structures. Victoria’s appointment is about exactly that. She brings heavyweight infrastructure finance expertise, a lender and investor perspective, and a proven ability to navigate the complex interfaces between funding, regulation, construction risk, public-sector requirements and long-term asset performance.
“Sharpe Pritchard is here to help make green infrastructure investable. Victoria joins Sharpe Pritchard with experience advising sponsors, lenders, equity investors and public-sector stakeholders on major infrastructure transactions in the UK and internationally. She has worked in private practice in the magic circle and in-house at Balfour Beatty Investments and Aberdeen plc, giving her a rare perspective across both equity and debt. She is a critical part of what we are building.
“Her track record includes major transport, port, schools and regulated infrastructure p]rojects involving multi-lender financings, institutional debt, concession amendments, refinancings, restructurings and long-term lifecycle risk.”
Victoria Heald-Barraclough said:
“The next wave of infrastructure investment will be defined by projects that can connect policy ambition, technical delivery and capital discipline. Sharpe Pritchard is dedicated to that space: helping clients create investable projects in complex regulated markets. I am excited to join the team as we build a platform that speaks directly to investors, lenders, sponsors and developers who want to deploy capital into green and essential infrastructure.”
Victoria’s experience includes advising on the BAKAD PPP road financing in Kazakhstan, Bina Istra PPP expansion financing, Silvertown Tunnel, M6 Toll Road restructuring, M8 Road and AWPR NPD projects, Aggregator Schools PF2 financings, Rock Rail train financings and the Gdansk Port PPP expansion financing.
Her appointment adds further depth to SP’s ability to advise across the capital stack and project lifecycle, particularly where projects require sophisticated financing, complex stakeholder management and robust long-term delivery structures.
