Signature Litigation—Catherine Naylor

International fraud and asset recovery offering boosted by partner hire

Signature Litigation has appointed Catherine Naylor as a partner in London, joining from Gowling WLG. Naylor brings nearly 20 years’ experience advising on complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional civil fraud disputes, asset tracing, offshore trusts and insolvency litigation, with particular expertise in matters involving Brazil, the US and the Caribbean.

At Gowling WLG, Naylor led the firm’s fraud, asset recovery, trusts and contentious insolvency practice and headed its Channel Islands and Brazil country desks. She also handles commercial litigation and arbitration matters through to appellate level and is a member of ICC FraudNet, further enhancing Signature’s international fraud and asset recovery capabilities.

Naylor said: ‘Signature has built a formidable reputation for handling complex, high-stakes disputes,’ adding that she looked forward to ‘working with the dynamic and highly regarded team’ to strengthen the firm’s offering. She also said she was ‘particularly excited’ about deepening the firm’s connections with international markets such as Brazil.

Graham Huntley, partner, said: ‘Catherine is absolutely the kind of practitioner that we want in our community.’ He added that she would provide ‘invaluable and in demand services’ in the ‘complex fraud and asset recovery insolvency arenas’. Her arrival takes place as Signature continues to grow its international disputes practice across its offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Gibraltar.
