The UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, as it is more formally known, creates a harmonised framework for the enforcement of international mediation settlement agreements. Each signatory state agrees to enforce a settlement agreement in line with its own rules of procedure. There are some limited grounds for refusal.
The Singapore Convention has been ratified by five states so far (Singapore, Fiji, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Belarus) out of 53 signed up to do so.
