Commercial property team expands in Manchester with partner appointment

Slater Heelis has appointed Helen Marsh as partner in its commercial property department, based at the firm’s Manchester office on Deansgate. Marsh brings more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property, advising clients across the hospitality, retail, office and warehouse sectors.

She has particular expertise in landlord and tenant matters, corporate property work linked to company sales and acquisitions, and wider commercial property transactions. Her client base has ranged from major hospitality operators and national retail brands to owner-managed businesses. Marsh is recognised as a Leading Partner and Recommended Lawyer in the 2026 UK Legal 500 directory.

Rachel Fletcher, managing partner, said Marsh is ‘exactly the kind of lawyer who fits our culture’, describing her as ‘deeply experienced, highly regarded in the market’ and known for providing ‘down-to-earth, responsive service’.

Will Henson, partner and head of commercial property, called the hire ‘a significant one for us’, adding that bringing in ‘someone of Helen’s calibre only strengthens’ the team. Her appointment follows the department’s recent shortlisting in the Law Firm of the Year category at the North West Residential Property Awards.
