Child care solicitor joins family law department
Sophie Burchett, a specialist solicitor in child care law, has joined Hodge Jones & Allen.
Sophie is a member of the Law Society Children's Panel dealing with both public and private law children matters. She holds extensive experience in representing both parents and children in care proceedings and in domestic violence work and dealing with private law children matters, representing parents, grandparents and extended family members. She deals with applications for child arrangement orders, prohibited steps and specific issue orders, special guardianship orders and adoption matters. In the past, Sophie has been instructed by the Official Solicitor where the clients lack capacity to conduct proceedings. She is skilled in dealing with vulnerable clients, including those with mental illness and learning difficulties.
