Corporate partner to join London office

Cooley announces that it will enhance its London business and finance practice with the hiring of Stephen Rosen, a leading London-based private equity and venture capital partner.

Rosen has experience advising high-growth companies, institutional investors, entrepreneurs and management teams on corporate transactions. He has particular expertise in company sales and purchases, mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital financings across a range of industry sectors.

“Stephen is a superb lawyer, well known for his deep experience advising high-growth companies and investors as they build their businesses,” says Justin Stock, managing partner of Cooley’s London office. “There is a tremendous level of enthusiasm, energy and activity within the new office, and when Stephen is added to our team this will only further strengthen our capability and our resolve to create something truly distinctive in London.”

“Cooley made a great impact with the UK launch in January and the momentum continues with Stephen’s arrival,” said Joe Conroy, Cooley’s chief executive officer. “We are committed to bringing together partners who are the best in their fields and who share our values and approach in delivering success for clients around the world.”

Cooley opened its London office on January 12, 2015, with 20 partners and more than 55 lawyers and other professionals. From the outset, the office has offered depth and expertise across key practice areas including corporate/M&A, complex litigation, venture capital, technology transactions, IP, tax, competition and privacy.
