Stewarts—Alexandra Lyons

Insurance and reinsurance specialist joins policyholder disputes practice as partner

Stewarts has appointed Alexandra Lyons as a partner in its policyholder disputes practice, bolstering its expertise in complex, high-value construction-related insurance disputes and international coverage litigation.

Lyons is an insurance and reinsurance disputes specialist with more than a decade of experience advising on complex first- and third-party coverage claims across the construction, energy, property and aviation sectors. She has acted on major multi-jurisdictional disputes, including international litigation and arbitration involving infrastructure projects and cross-border insured losses.

Commenting on her move, Lyons said: ‘Stewarts’ policyholder-only model, combined with its heavyweight disputes capability, offers a compelling platform to pursue the most challenging coverage claims against major insurers.’ She added: ‘I am delighted to be joining the firm at such an exciting stage in the practice’s growth.’

Aaron Le Marquer, partner and head of the policyholder disputes practice, said Lyons’ arrival ‘deepens our construction disputes capability’, while managing partner Stuart Dench said the appointment reflects the firm’s ‘continued investment in building market-leading disputes practices with real depth and international reach’.
