Supreme Court Justices on tour

The UK’s highest civil court will sit for a week in Glasgow from 18-21 May next year

Supreme Court President Lord Reed, who is Scottish, will be joined by four other Justices to hear appeals in the City Chambers on George Square.

Lord Reed said: ‘I know the city well, having lived and worked there for many years when I was an advocate and a judge in the High Court.’

Supreme Court chief executive Vicky Fox said she hoped ‘as many people as possible’ would watch the hearings in person.

Previously, the court has sat in Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
