Moves to promote access to the Supreme Court appear to be working—it has been given a high rating as a tourist destination on Trip Advisor. Speaking to the Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Justice last week, Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court, said: “To our surprise and gratification and to some of my more traditional colleagues’ slight embarrassment, we learnt last year that the UK Supreme Court had been awarded four and half stars out of a maximum five by Trip Advisor—which I have just checked we still maintain.” In the past six years, more than 500,000 people have visited the court.
