Employment partner joins media law firm

Media law practice Tan Ward has announced the appointment of Kathryn Davies as an employment partner.

Kathryn has over ten years’ experience at West End and City firms and is widely known for her broad experience in both contentious and non-contentious work. Acting for clients and employees across a range of sectors, with a particular expertise in media, film, TV, sport, games and technology, she joins Tan Ward to continue her rapid career progression.

Praveen Bhatia, CEO and co-owner of Tan Ward, said: ‘We are passionate about creating new opportunities that can unlock the potential of legal professionals, particularly women in law, and are elated to have Kathryn join our practice. She is the perfect fit for our modern approach that provides a comprehensive solution for ambitious legal professionals seeking work-life balance.’

Daniela Korn, head of employment and co-owner, added: ‘By giving lawyers complete control of their case load, we aim to attract and retain talent from a diverse pool and foster an inclusive and supportive environment for women in law. Kathryn is an exceptional lawyer and a hugely significant addition to the Tan Ward team, who will further enhance our employment law expertise both in the UK and co-ordinating global requirements.’

Commenting on her appointment, Kathryn said: ‘The Tan Ward model offers a fresh alternative to the traditional partnership model and a level of autonomy that I believe creates the ideal environment for legal excellence. Working alongside Praveen [Bhatia] and Daniela [Korn] once again is hugely exciting and provides the perfect mix of personal growth, support, and work-life balance in an innovative female-led culture.’
