Terrorism Act

Terrorism Act 2006 (Disapplication of Section 25) Order 2010 (SI 2010/Draft)

Postpones the coming into force of the Terrorism Act 2006, s 25 until 25 January 2011. Ensures that the maximum detention period under the Terrorism Act 2006, Sch 8 remains at 28 days.

Section 25 will reduce the maximum detention period under Sch 8 from 28 days to 14 days. It has been disapplied three times before.
