This week's NLJ: House moves

The government’s decision to ease restrictions on house moves took many estate agents by surprise, barrister Veronica Cowan writes in this week’s NLJ

While welcome news for the industry, there is understandable caution among vendors and purchasers about home viewings and moving. Conveyancers continue to work remotely as far as possible, and property lawyers predict further turmoil in the next few months.

Meanwhile, the government is likely to come under renewed pressure to cut stamp duty to stimulate the property market.
