
New partner joins the Kent firm’s construction team
Thomson Snell & Passmore’s construction team has welcomed Caroline Watkins as a partner.
Caroline joins from EMW Law and brings considerable expertise in the construction space. Her previous experience also includes time with industry leaders Beale & Co and the in-house legal team at Southern Water.
She has particular knowledge in professional indemnity insurance and utilities (including renewables) and regularly acts for contractors, developers, suppliers and professional consultants, providing documentation and advice on all major forms of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and iChemE.
In addition, she represents a number of banks, providing development finance in construction projects, and more recently has been providing advice to clients on the legal and practical implications of the Building Safety Act 2022, as well as giving regular presentations on the topic to leading construction industry network groups.
Thomson Snell & Passmore’s construction team advise on dispute resolution, project documentation and project support – including international projects.
