Thomson Snell & Passmore—Claire Busuttil

Thomson Snell & Passmore has welcomed Claire Busuttil as a partner to its Court of Protection team.

Claire joins from Mayo Wynne Baxter, where she trained and has spent the past 19 years. She has extensive experience in advising on Court of Protection applications including deputyship, statutory wills and lifetime gifting applications for individuals who do not have the capacity to manage their own financial and property affairs or make independent decisions. She has significant personal experience of acting as a professional deputy for a large number of clients. 

She also has specific expertise in supporting clients following medical negligence and personal injury settlements.

Claire takes a multidisciplinary approach, often engaging other professionals in the social work and healthcare sectors to enhance her clients’ lives and provide the highest level of service in a cost-effective way.

Commenting on her appointment, Claire said: ‘I have spent my career doing all I can to help support some of the most vulnerable people in society. It is a real joy to be involved in my clients’ lives and build long-lasting relationships with them.
