Firm announces first female CEO
South East firm Thomson Snell & Passmore has appointed its new chief executive officer, Sarah Henwood.
Formerly the director of marketing and business development at Shearman & Sterling, where she was based in the Hong Kong office, Sarah has specialised in the professional services sector for more than 25 years and has also previously held positions at Linklaters, Clifford Chance, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She will now work alongside Thomson Snell & Passmore’s senior partner James Partridge and the management board to lead the firm as its first female CEO.
Sarah said: ‘I look forward to embracing the new challenges ahead as I step into the role of CEO of the oldest law firm in operation in the world. With Thomson Snell & Passmore’s 450th anniversary approaching, I will be working closely with the board, partners and other members of the firm, to build on the firm’s rich heritage and performance to ensure continued growth and success, especially as we draw closer to celebrating an important milestone.’
James Partridge added: ‘On behalf of the entire firm, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Sarah.
