TLT hires structured finance partner to strengthen national banking and finance offering

TLT has appointed a new partner to its banking and finance team in London, further cementing the firm’s position as a leader in banking and financial services. 

Mark Thomas who joins from Squire Patton Boggs, where he headed up the structured finance practice, brings significant expertise in structured finance, real estate finance, securitisation, specialist lending and supply chain finance. Mark has been a partner for over 17 years, having previously led the structured finance practice at Addleshaw Goddard.

Mark advises clients on a range of finance matters, acting for banks, borrowers, originators, issuers, servicers, special servicers and trustees in relation to UK and cross-border transactions.

At TLT, Mark will play a major role in the strategic growth of the team in London, as part of the firm’s efforts to further develop this practice area on a national level. Mark’s responsibilities will include advising some of TLT’s key sector clients on a wide variety of specialist finance projects. In addition, Mark will work closely with teams across other sectors at TLT, such as litigation, corporate, data protection and employment, supporting with core finance expertise.

In addition to his role as partner, Mark will continue to have an active role in trainee recruitment and development, which he has enjoyed being part of for the last 20 years of his career.
