Tribunal awards revisions

New maximum and minimum levels for employment tribunal awards have been announced. Under the Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2018, which comes into force on 6 April 2018, the maximum award for unfair dismissal rises to £83,682, from £80,541, and the minimum amount of basic compensation for unfair dismissal rises to £6,203, from £5,970.

The maximum week’s pay for the purposes of redundancy and unfair dismissal payments rises to £508, from £489. The limit on the guaranteed amount payable to an employee in respect of any day is raised to £28 (up from £27).
