Boutique Manchester-based litigation firm, Venus Legal, has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of first-class law graduate Esther Abena Dansoa Amoako.
The appointment forms part of Venus Legal's continued investment in its people as the firm builds its presence nationally, strengthening their ability to support clients involved in complex and sensitive litigation.
The firm have doubled the size of their team over the past year while retaining 100 per cent of their employees, and continue to develop expertise across large-scale group litigation, industrial disease, personal injury and, more recently, military claims.
Central to this growth is the firm's commitment to attracting and developing talented individuals who share its ambition to make a meaningful difference to people's lives.
The firm’s latest appointment, Esther Amoako, brings an impressive combination of academic achievement, professional experience and community involvement, alongside a longstanding ambition to pursue a career in law. She joins Venus Legal as a Paralegal, having achieved a First-Class LL.B. from the University of Buckingham, followed by an LL.M. with Distinction in Manchester, and is now working towards her ambition of qualifying as a solicitor.
Lorna McGlone, Founder and CEO of Venus Legal commented: “Esther is a fantastic addition to our team and brings exactly the qualities we value at Venus Legal - ambition, determination, compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference.
"As we continue to grow, our focus is on developing our specialist expertise and ensuring we have the right people in place to support our clients. That means investing not only in experienced legal professionals but also in the next generation of talent who will help shape the future of our business.
"Esther's journey is particularly impressive. She has demonstrated enormous commitment to achieving her ambition, alongside a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others. Her values align closely with our own, and we're delighted to be supporting her as she takes the next step towards qualifying as a solicitor."
Esther’s journey into the legal profession has been anything but conventional. Inspired at just eight years old after watching a film depicting women experiencing abuse without access to legal representation, Esther developed an early determination to pursue a career advocating for and empowering others.
Outside her legal career, Esther is equally committed to supporting others through sport, fitness and community initiatives. She is Head Coach for girls' football at Coachhene Sports Club and a youth dance instructor at Mustard Seed Chapel. After winning ‘Miss Fitness Africa’ in 2017, amongst other pageants, she also founded a personal fitness brand focused on inspiring consistency, discipline and personal growth.
Her commitment to empowering others, both professionally and personally, reflects the people-focused approach at the heart of Venus Legal.
Commenting on her appointment, Esther said: "Becoming a lawyer has been an ambition of mine since childhood. My journey has taken me through several different industries, but I've always been driven by a desire to advocate for others and make a positive difference to people's lives.
"Joining Venus Legal is an exciting next step. What particularly attracted me was the firm's commitment to people, both in the work it does for clients and the opportunities it creates for its team.
"I'm passionate about continuing to develop my legal career, and I want to be part of a business where I can learn, contribute and make a meaningful impact. Venus Legal's ethos of 'Turning Lives Around' really resonates with me."
Venus Legal's approach to recruitment and professional development reflects its wider people-first philosophy, with the firm investing in structured training, mentoring, professional qualifications and career progression. Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, the firm has built its growth strategy around the belief that investing in people and delivering exceptional client service go hand in hand.
