Firm announces new partner

IP firm Wynne-Jones has announced Vicki Strachan as its newest partner.

Vicki, who is based in the firm’s Cheltenham office, specialises in analogue and digital electronic devices covering medical devices, digital and data communications, telecommunications and software based inventions. She has a broad range of experience, having acted for a broad spectrum of clients including multinationals, universities and SME’s in the UK and overseas. Her experience includes representing clients at opposition and appeal hearings at the European Patent Office.

Vicki’s previous roles include a patent examiner at the UK Patent Office as well as partner at a large UK IP firm, before starting her own business. Vicki joined Wynne-Jones in 2013, following a career break, during which she completed a PGCE qualification and worked as a curriculum leader in the engineering department at Gloucestershire College, lecturing in engineering at HNC, HND and foundation degree levels.

“I am confident that Vicki’s knowledge and experience will further strengthen our excellent team and help us continue to provide a high quality service for all our clients, protecting their intellectual property,” says Dr Ian Lambert, partner and senior patent attorney at Wynne-Jones.
