Vidisha Joshi & Laila Bhunnoo—Hodge Jones & Allen

Firm announces two new appointments to management board

Hodge Jones & Allen has announced new appointments to its management board—Vidisha Joshi, head of personal injury, and Laila Bhunnoo, head of family.

Laila’s practice includes special guardianship orders, care orders, supervision orders and emergency protection orders, in addition to adoption within the UK and overseas and child abduction. She is a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel and was awarded Employer of the Year 2011 by the National Mentoring Consortium for her work with BME law students at the University of Westminster.

Vidisha specialises in complex personal injury cases, with a particular focus on highway and motor claims. She joined the firm in 2011 and, as the recently appointed head of personal injury, has gone on to successfully spearhead the implementation of a new case management system, in addition to generating a thriving personal caseload

Patrick Allen, senior partner and head of the board, comments: “Vidisha and Laila are valuable additions to our management board. They bring with them exceptional experience and practical knowledge, allied to a dynamism and energy which will help us develop as a firm and continue to offer innovative and effective solutions for our clients.

"Vidisha and Laila’s appointment further reinforces the fact that we are fully committed to ensuring that our firm’s leadership is as diverse as our client base. We firmly believe that trust, representation and inclusion are crucial to ensuring that legal advice, and justice, are accessible to all.”
