Voting on Brexit: Parliament’s role before 31/10

MPs will find it very difficult to stop a No Deal Brexit according to the Institute for Government’s latest report exploring the options

Merely expressing opposition will not prevent Brexit because it is the default; there may not be any opportunities to amend government legislation; taking control to legislate to stop Brexit will be extremely difficult to achieve; Brexit could happen even if the Government lost a vote of confidence; a second referendum would require government support; there is little time to hold a general election before 31 October.
