Walkers—Muriel Marseille

Ashurst's Chief Risk Officer joins Walkers

Walkers, the international legal and professional services firm, has appointed Muriel Marseille as Chief Compliance Officer, reaffirming our commitment to strong governance and trusted client service.

Muriel brings more than 25 years of experience across the legal and professional services sectors, including over 18 years in senior risk and governance leadership roles. She is well-versed in helping international law firms meet shifting regulatory expectations while maintaining the confidence of clients, partners and regulators.

She joins us from Ashurst Perkins Coie, where she most recently served as Chief Risk Officer. In that role, she led several key functions to strengthen the firm's approach to risk management and organisational resilience across its global operations.

Muriel will work closely with our leadership team to further enhance our global governance framework. Her focus will be on supporting sustainable growth by bringing clarity to complex issues and helping colleagues make confident, well-considered decisions across the business.

Ingrid Pierce, Global Managing Partner at Walkers, said: 'It’s a pleasure to welcome Muriel to Walkers. She brings exceptional experience in risk and governance, and her perspective will be a real asset to the firm as we continue to deliver the high standards our clients expect.'

Muriel added: 'Walkers has earned a reputation for excellence across its global business, and I'm very pleased to be here. I look forward to working with colleagues around the world to support their success and continue to shape a strong, resilient organisation for the future.’

Muriel succeeds Tui Iti, who joined Walkers in 2025 and will now move to Walkers Professional Services (WPS), where he will support the business' next phase of growth following the completion of the co-investment with Vitruvian Partners. Angela Robertson will continue in her role as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer for the law firm.
