Ward Hadaway has promoted 19 lawyers and professionals across the firm, including the elevation of Hollie Ball and Tom Shears to partner. The promotions span a range of practice areas including commercial litigation, corporate, employment, housing, private client and real estate, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in developing talent from within.
The firm said nearly half of those promoted this year began their legal careers at Ward Hadaway, underlining its focus on long-term career development. Alongside the two new partners, promotions were also made to director, managing associate and associate roles across its offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester and Teesside.
Within the employment team, Jess Hurwood and Caroline Bagley were promoted to associate, Natalie Payne to managing associate, and Ball and Shears to partner. Promotions in the real estate team included Emma Collins to director, while appointments were also made across the commercial dispute resolution, corporate, housing and private client departments.
Steven Petrie, managing partner at Ward Hadaway, said the promotions recognised the ‘hard work, professionalism and commitment shown by colleagues across the whole business’. He added: ‘Nearly half of those promoted this year trained with us, including Hollie Ball, whose promotion from trainee to partner shows the long-term career path people can build here.’
