Winckworth Sherwood—David Fendt

Restructuring and insolvency practice strengthened by partner hire

Winckworth Sherwood has appointed David Fendt as a partner in its restructuring and insolvency team, further bolstering the firm's growing practice. He joined on 8 June from JMW Solicitors, where he was a partner in the restructuring and insolvency team.

Fendt specialises in corporate and personal insolvency, particularly contentious matters. He advises insolvency practitioners, defendants to office-holder claims and a range of stakeholders affected by financial distress, including company boards, charity trustees, creditors, debtors, spouses, and landlords and tenants.

Commenting on the move, Fendt said: ‘I am impressed by Winckworth Sherwood’s strong reputation, the breadth of its sector expertise, and the quality of its client base.’ He added: ‘I look forward to working with Lee to build the insolvency and restructuring practice.’

Richard Tinham, managing partner at Winckworth Sherwood, said: ‘We are continuing to invest in building a market-leading restructuring and insolvency practice.’ He added that Fendt’s appointment ‘underlines our ambition in this area and our commitment to growing a high-quality team.’
