Winckworth Sherwood has appointed Lee Ranford as partner and head of restructuring. He joined the firm on 18 May 2026 from JMW Solicitors, where he was a partner in the restructuring and insolvency practice. He previously held a partner role at Russell-Cooke.
A dual-qualified solicitor and insolvency practitioner, Ranford advises on personal and corporate insolvency, bankruptcy, administration and liquidation. His client base includes insolvency practitioners, company directors, lenders, investors, creditors and debtors.
Ranford said: ‘Winckworth Sherwood has a phenomenal market presence’ and added that he was ‘thrilled to be joining the firm to build its capability in the restructuring market’.
Richard Tinham, managing partner at Winckworth Sherwood, described the appointment as ‘a real coup for the firm’ and said Ranford’s experience would provide ‘a terrific platform on which to build this practice’.
