High-stakes commercial litigator joins 36 Group

Barrister Marc Samuels, who specialises in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, has joined 36 Group.

Marc’s practice also focuses on insolvency, banking, and company law. He has advised some of the world’s largest corporations and financial institutions.

He has previously worked at leading New York law firms Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. He has also been an in-house advisor to Lloyds Banking Group (Commercial Banking). 

His clients include global banks, private equity houses and buy-side investors, UK and international companies, public authorities, a major US airline, and the investment arm of an overseas government.

Marc’s experience covers litigation and international arbitration across diverse sectors and geographies. His practice encompasses all forms of contractual dispute, including joint venture, shareholder and warranty claims, as well as banking and financial services disputes. He also handles civil fraud, asset tracing and recovery, and corporate and personal insolvency.
