3PB Barristers

Family set strengthened through triple hire

3PB Barristers has announced the recruitment of three family barristers to its set: Simon Lillington, Adam Langrish and Stephen Abberley.

Simon Lillington joins from College Chambers, where he previously headed the set’s matrimonial finance team. He has over 20 years of experience in family law, and specialises in complex financial disputes involving businesses, foreign assets or trusts. He is also a qualified family law mediator and arbitrator, and offers additional expertise in cohabitation and TOLATA cases.

Also joining from College Chambers, Adam Langrish practises in the public law field and offers notable experience in cases concerning sexual or emotional abuse and non-accidental injury in care proceedings. He also provides expertise in children cases, cohabitation disputes and ancillary relief.

Stephen Abberley is a family barrister based in Birmingham, formerly of Regents Chambers. He specialises in public law care cases, particularly those involving sexual abuse, fabricated illness, and cross jurisdictional issues. He offers niche expertise in cases related to complex medical issues and those concerning vulnerable adults, with experience in poisoning, resuscitation and induced suffocation matters.

3PB’s national head of the family team, Hamish Dunlop, said: ‘All three barristers are great additions to our specialist family team here and show our depth now in commercial, medical and pension issues affecting family disputes. This is now an exceptional family team with great work, great solicitor clients and great regard by the judiciary.’
