A Dorset law firm which posted an advert featuring four female ballet dancers with their arms crossed over their chest above the words, “Protect your assets’”, has been cleared by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Humphries Kirk posted the advert in the Bournemough Daily Echo but a reader complained the advert was sexist and objectified women. The ASA noted that the advert was not sexual, degrading or demeaning, focused on the balletic pose rather than body parts, and that any innuendo was light-hearted.
