Firm hires partners to build out its 'new law' capability

PwC has hired Andrew Giverin and Jason McQuillen as partners to join its legal practice.

Andrew and Jason will be building out the firm’s existing ‘new law’ capability, designing and developing managed legal services solutions for large corporations and helping them to optimise how they handle their bulk contracting work.

Andrew and Jason were previously co-founders of Radiant Law, an award winning boutique law firm where they led sales and client delivery.

At PwC they will work with large clients to help them shape their legal function and free up their in-house lawyers’ time to focus on more high-value and strategic work.

The appointments reinforce the firm’s commitment to investing in innovative technology-based solutions to address key business issues, particularly within the commercial contracting area where there is significant growth potential.

Andrew said: ‘PwC is passionate about creating value for its clients and it’s exciting to be a part of that. Working with our consulting colleagues, we are looking forward to harnessing the creativity, expertise, law tech and process that PwC can muster to help lawyers in large organisations work smarter and better demonstrate their value to the business’.

Jason said: ‘The insights, full service capability and technology-enabled solutions that PwC can bring to bear make it uniquely placed to help solve the core challenges facing large in-house legal teams and better align them to the business. PwC was the natural next step for us and we are thrilled to be joining the team.’

Shirley Brookes, partner and head of legal services at PwC, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Andrew and Jason to our legal team as we continue to build the growth in our business with new and innovative solutions. Many of our general counsel clients are transforming their in-house legal function and the expertise Andrew and Jason bring in running a managed legal services business in commercial contracts will not only add value to our clients, but will also complement our legal functio consulting offering as well.’
