South London firm makes three partner promotions

Anthony Gold has announced three new partner promotions this month, adding  to the two new lateral hire partners brought in to strengthen the firm’s private client offering earlier this year.

Ian Peters (pictured right, left) has been promoted to partner in the injury and medical claims department. Having joined the firm in 2009, Ian has worked closely with Jenny Kennedy and is now highly regarded as an international law specialist with extensive experience of acting for both British nationals injured abroad, as well as foreign nationals injured whilst visiting the UK.

Sara Stephens (pictured right, centre) has been appointed to partner in the housing department where she specialises in housing and property litigation with a particular focus on disrepair, judicial review, homelessness, possession work and commercial property disputes.

Sarah Hughes (pictured right, right) has been promoted to partner in the family department where she specialises in all areas of family law including complex financial and children disputes cases. She has built up considerable experience in dealing with medium/high to ultra-high net worth cases and acted for the wife in the reported case of AH v PH (Scandinavian Marriage Settlement) [2013] EWHC 3873 (Fam) which involved a Scandinavian pre-nuptial agreement and c.£80m assets in trust.

David Marshall, managing partner, says: “2016 has been an excellent year for us with record results and we predict further considerable growth across the firm, particularly in our private client offering. By adding five new partners across various teams this year we have strengthened our offering and continue to pride ourselves on being a South London firm with a national presence.”

Nominations for the Halsbury Legal Awards 2016, in association with NLJ, are now open. Visit the site to view all the categories and enter online. #Halsbury2016
