App in court

Pocket Witness, the first mobile app for witnesses in UK courts, tribunals and inquiries, has launched. It is the brainchild of Trevor Gilbert, an employment expert witness and trainer, who developed the app to help members of the public understand the legal process. The app explains the courts and their layouts, offers some tips on presentation and keeping calm and provides a list of courtroom dos and don’ts. There is also a chapter on  cross-examination techniques that  may be used to discredit witnesses or make them look unreliable.
