Barlow Robbins—Tim Matthews

Firm strengthens corporate team with City recruit

Surrey firm Barlow Robbins has welcomed Tim Matthews to the firm’s corporate and commercial team as partner.

Tim was formerly a corporate partner with Brown Rudnick for over five years, and has also previously held the position of partner at Clyde & Co and WilmerHale. He brings over 25 years of experience across the corporate law field, from advising on IPOs to handling corporate governance and corruption issues. He offers particular expertise in acting for companies from the life sciences and technology sectors.

Tim commented: ‘Barlow Robbins is an ambitious firm that is going places, and I am thrilled to be joining the team. With its strong regional roots and close proximity to London, Barlow Robbins offers a fantastic base to continue to develop my practice and contribute significantly to the firm’s overall objectives.’

Chief executive of Barlow Robbins Ray Black added: ‘Tim’s hire represents a strategic move for Barlow Robbins as we continue to expand the corporate team and seek to capitalise on the opportunities in the marketplace. He is a highly regarded corporate specialist and his particular expertise in technology and life sciences will further diversify and complement our corporate offering. Alongside our top-notch existing team, we are now even better positioned to meet the needs of clients throughout the region, across the UK and around the globe.’
