Frankie Tan Lyn Seang struck off
A barrister who witnessed, and attested to, the forged signatures of both the seller and the buyer during a sale of land, has been struck off. The Bar Standards Board (BSB) successfully brought charges against Frankie Tan Lyn Seang, who has also been struck off the Roll of Advocates and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya (Malaysia). Tan was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in July 1989. BSB head of professional conduct, Sara Down said: “It would be wrong to allow Mr Tan to continue to be a barrister when he has acted in such a way to diminish public confidence in the profession and discredit the Bar.”
