Berkeley Rowe—five hires

Firm makes strategic appointments

Specialist commercial and corporate law firm Berkeley Rowe has announced that it has made five new appointments as well as entering the Legal 500.

Gemma Redfern (pictured), a Legal 500 recommended lawyer, joined as a partner and head of the white collar crime and regulatory department. Having spent more than 15 years working in financial crime, Gemma has extensive experience in dealing with investigations and prosecutions, and her new role will see her work for a range of clients from corporate entities to senior professional individuals.

Alongside Gemma, Albana Kuteli joins as an associate in its corporate and commercial department. Having previously worked on a variety of transactions and opportunities, Albana will be tasked with advising Berkeley Rowe’s local and international clients across a range of issues including joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments.

Berkeley Rowe has also bolstered its core team with the introduction of three new paralegals. Queenie Je joins the litigation department, while the real estate team gained Kailie De Zoysa who previously worked in the residential department at a top 100 law firm, and Ana-Maria Cen.

Commenting on the appointments and the firm’s recent success, Berkeley Rowe said: ‘Berkeley Rowe is excited to report such a rapid growth this year at the firm. This is the result of our hard work in creating a safe and happy environment for staff, whilst maintaining an energetic edge against competition. We always saw market disruption as an opportunity to grow and make critical new ground—our experienced staff watch over the hungry, ambitious younger talent. Our competition will remain the City; as we grow, our firepower here will reflect that. This is also a validation of the success of impact and purpose being at the heart of our business.’
