Housing management team expands with specialist partner hire

Bevan Brittan has appointed Bethan Gladwyn as a partner in its housing management team, strengthening its offering to social housing providers amid rising demand. Based in Bristol, Gladwyn joins from Hugh James, where she led the housing management practice. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in social housing law, with a particular focus on residential landlord and tenant issues.

Her expertise includes advising local authorities and registered social landlords on matters such as anti-social behaviour, disrepair, tenancy enforcement and broader housing management issues. Gladwyn’s appointment comes at a time when Bevan Brittan’s housing management team is increasingly supporting a diverse client base including housing associations, local authorities, supported housing specialists, NHS trusts and private care providers.

Andrew Shaw, partner and joint head of housing, welcomed her arrival, saying: ‘Bethan adds her impressive array of expertise and experience to our established team at a time when local authorities and registered housing providers are increasingly seeking our advice. The housing sector is constantly evolving and our clients need the very best support to meet the new challenges of an ever-changing regulatory landscape.’

Gladwyn said: ‘I am delighted to be joining such a well-respected and in-demand team. Our collective experience and expertise will be just what local authority and social housing clients need as the market continues to evolve.’ She is the sixth new partner to join Bevan Brittan in 2025, following a series of strategic hires across sectors including technology, digital health, finance, living and pensions, as the firm reported record revenues of £86.7m, up 14% on the previous year.
