M&A & private equity expert joins Milan corporate team

International firm Bird & Bird has boosted its corporate practice with the arrival of partner Giovanni Gazzaniga in Milan.

With over 30 years’ experience, Giovanni advises Italian and international clients on a wide range of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) across various sectors, including food and beverage, life sciences, energy, and TMT industries.

He also has extensive experience advising on complex private equity deals involving financial structuring and negotiations, as well as public acquisitions, spin-offs and joint ventures. Giovanni joins Bird & Bird from A&O Shearman, where he was a partner for 18 years in the corporate practice.

Giovanni joins the firm alongside associate Nicolo Baruffi.
