Firm makes corporate appointment

East Anglian law firm, Birketts, has appointed Mark Pinder as a partner in its corporate team.

Mark will concentrate on growing Birketts’ corporate practice in London and internationally, where the corporate team continues to expand.

Mark was previously the head of the international corporate group of an international law firm as well as the founder and head of its Middle East operations and is considered to be one of the most experienced international corporate lawyers in the country. An expert in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, he also has a wealth of experience in private equity and venture capital, joint ventures and other business collaborations. Mark has guided businesses operating in many industry sectors, especially those with an international dimension.

Mark is recognised by the Legal 500 directory for his ‘wealth of experience of cross-border M&A work, with particular knowledge of the Middle East’.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark said: ‘I am excited to join a firm with such a broad international offering and great deal of expert corporate, commercial and private client experience. It is an honour to work alongside Birketts’ highly respected corporate and commercial team and by sharing the benefit of my varied experience, I hope to play my part in boosting the firm’s international offering even further.’

Adrian Seagers, partner, said of the appointment: ‘I am very pleased to welcome new partner Mark who has many years’ experience working in the international sector advising a wide range of clients. As the international team oversees an increasing volume of international work for companies and individuals based in the UK and abroad, I feel Mark will make a strong and timely addition to the team.’
