Commercial dispute resolution team welcomes partner in Cambridge

Birketts has announced the appointment of Phillippa O’Neill as a partner in its dispute resolution team. O’Neill joins from Buckles Solicitors, where she was head of commercial dispute resolution, bringing over two decades of experience managing complex cases across sectors including manufacturing, retail, energy, infrastructure, and finance.

Her practice spans a broad range of matters such as shareholder and partnership disputes, warranty and contractual claims, breaches of confidentiality and restrictive covenants, professional negligence, corporate fraud, and reputation management. She is also highly experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and expert determination.

Laurence Weeks, partner and head of commercial dispute resolution at Birketts, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Phillippa to the team. Her wealth of experience and skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow our dispute resolution offering across the UK.’

O’Neill commented: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Birketts as a partner in the commercial dispute resolution team. Birketts has a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service and pragmatic legal advice, and I am excited to contribute to the firm’s continued success.’ She will be based in Birketts’ Cambridge office, supporting clients both regionally and nationally.
