Firm promotes across its Scotland offices

Blackadders has announced a wave of promotions across its network of offices in Scotland, bringing the firm’s partnership to a total of 25 lawyers.

Among the appointments are two promotions to partner. Ellen Eunson (pictured) will be taking up this role in the Aberdeen office’s rural land and business team, where she will continue to advise on farm and estate sales and purchases and agricultural leasing amongst other relevant matters. In Dundee, Stuart King, a specialist in property finance and cross-border portfolio matters, will also move to partner.

Elsewhere, Claire Newton will move to director of executry services in the private client division of the firm’s Dundee office. Brian Main has been promoted to associate director and will head up the Angus branch’s property services offering. Ruth Weir in Dundee and John Dargie in Aberdeen have also been appointed as associate and senior solicitor respectively.

Blackadders’ managing partner Johnston Clark commented: ‘We have been on a rolling programme of growth over a number of years and anticipate further progress throughout 2018. Investing in our staff is key in ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible service to clients.

‘The promotions strengthen our team and recognises the sustained performance and high level of skills each individual has shown. I congratulate them on their work so far and wish them all well in their new roles.’
