Bloomsbury Square Employment Law—Donna Clancy

Employment law team strengthened with partner appointment

Bloomsbury Square Employment Law has appointed Donna Clancy as a partner, further boosting its expanding team of senior-level employment solicitors. Clancy joins from Pattinson & Brewer LLP, where she was a senior associate advising claimants on contentious and non-contentious matters ranging from exit strategies and complex discrimination to TUPE, whistleblowing and equal pay. Her 25-plus years of experience span individual and multi-party litigation, including collective redundancy cases before the employment tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Working with clients in London and across the UK, Clancy has significant experience supporting senior executives and professionals in sectors such as finance, entertainment, sport, retail and the public sector, including the NHS. She is based in southeast London and also sits part-time as a judge in the first-tier tribunal.

Clancy said she was drawn to the firm’s reputation for ‘clear commitment to employee-focused work’ and for offering ‘partner-level expertise to every client’. She added: ‘I’m delighted to be joining a firm that combines technical excellence with a genuine desire to secure the best outcome for every client.’

Partner Nicola Welchman welcomed the hire, saying Clancy’s breadth of experience from ‘many years advising employees, collective action claims and employers’ makes her ‘a valuable addition to our growing team’.
