New partner strengthens firm’s finance offering
Global firm Brown Rudnick LLP has announced the arrival of Louisa Watt, who is joining the firm’s London office as a partner specialising in corporate and financial matters.
Louisa joins the firm from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where she previously headed up the loan portfolio, claims and debt trading practice. She offers plentiful experience in cross-border loans, portfolios and litigation funding, and has distinctive expertise in advising on secondary loan trading in distressed situations.

Louisa has said of her appointment: ‘By joining Brown Rudnick, clients will be able to access a strong cross-practice platform and a law firm whose reach is truly international in nature. By combining our experience and knowledge with Brown Rudnick’s expertise and its leading funds advisory work, the practice will offer a compelling service to clients matched by few others.’
The London managing partner Neil Micklethwaite said: ‘Louisa’s background and excellent track record will significantly enhance and strengthen the Brown Rudnick team. As the firm continues to grow, Louisa’s hire is an endorsement of our strategy and our desire to attract the best people who can add real value to our clients and their businesses.’
