Browne Jacobson—Susan Kemp

Commercial real estate team welcomes partner

Browne Jacobson has appointed Susan Kemp as partner in its commercial real estate team, continuing its strategic growth across the UK and Ireland. Susan joins from Shoosmiths, bringing deep expertise in complex property deals, retail advisory work and financing arrangements.

Recognised by Legal 500 as a 'Next Generation Partner', Susan has worked on national property portfolios and will now help lead Browne Jacobson’s 120-strong real estate team. ‘Browne Jacobson has an exceptional reputation both as a firm, and in real estate,’ she said. ‘It is an ambitious firm in a strong position, and I am excited to be part of its journey.’

Sarah Parkinson, partner and head of real estate, welcomed the appointment: ‘Susan brings the kind of no-nonsense, commercial thinking that will help us capitalise on opportunities. Personally, having known Susan for years in the market, I’m delighted that we’ll be working together!’

Michael Sadler, partner and sector lead, added: ‘Susan represents exactly the calibre of lawyer we're targeting. This appointment signals our intent – we're actively recruiting more exceptional talent to support our growth ambitions.’ Recent deals include advising The Range on its Homebase acquisition, SKIMS on its London flagship lease, and DPD on multiple acquisitions.
