Carey Olsen has appointed Kim Paiva as a group partner in its Guernsey office, adding 15 years’ experience in complex banking and finance transactions. She joins from another offshore firm, where she was a group partner in the banking and finance practice.
Paiva advises across real estate finance, corporate and leveraged finance, asset and fund finance, and general corporate lending. Her work also spans cross-practice matters, including acquisitions, group restructurings and enforcement actions, working closely with corporate, funds, trusts and regulatory, and dispute resolution teams.
She said she was ‘thrilled to be joining Carey Olsen’s market-leading banking and finance team’, adding that it was ‘an exciting opportunity to contribute to its continued success’ and work with ‘an exceptionally talented group of lawyers’.
Tom Carey, managing partner of Carey Olsen Guernsey, said Paiva brings ‘exceptional expertise’ and that 'her proven ability to lead high-performing teams' would be ‘invaluable as we continue to strengthen our banking and finance practice’.
