Carl Nisser—Excello Law

International corporate & commercial specialist joins firm

Carl Nisser, a multi-lingual member of the Swedish Bar and a registered European lawyer with the SRA, has joined Excello Law. He has previously worked as in-house counsel and in senior executive positions with Volvo and Goodyear in Europe, the USA and south east Asia. He was a partner in Brussels at Lindahl, one of Sweden’s largest law firms, and a consultant to SJ Berwin, McGuire Woods and Miller Rosenfalck in London.

Carl’s practice encompasses work with a range of international businesses on corporate and commercial matters, including AIM listings, and assisting the London Stock Exchange to attract Nordic and US companies to list their securities on AIM. He has particular experience of working within the clean-tech, hi-tech and digital industries as an entrepreneur and lawyer.

Carl set up The European Government Business Relations Council, known as The Ad Hoc Council, to help improve understanding between European governments, the EU and industry leaders. He anticipates advising companies on Brexit issues. He has lived and worked in Brussels for close to 15 years where he was an early lobbyist.

George Bisnought, Excello founder and MD, comments: “Carl has built a wide-ranging international practice advising businesses, most particularly in Europe and North America. He brings considerable experience to the firm and allows Excello Law to offer expanding international legal expertise, complemented by our associate offices in Sweden and the US. We’re delighted he has joined us.”
