Clarke Willmott—Jennifer Charlton & Henry Garden

Partner and associate join private capital team in Bristol

Clarke Willmott LLP has strengthened its private capital team in Bristol with the appointment of Jennifer Charlton as partner and Henry Garden as associate. The national law firm, which has offices across the UK, continues to expand its presence in the South West with these strategic hires.

Jennifer Charlton, who specialises in wealth and estate planning, brings extensive experience advising families and individuals on private client and tax matters. She said she was ‘delighted to join a team with such a strong reputation for private capital work’. Associate Henry Garden, who focuses on high net worth estate planning, also joins the Bristol office, bringing a solid background in tax, succession, and estate planning.

Both new hires will be based at Clarke Willmott’s Assembly Building C office in Bristol, while also supporting clients in Cardiff and London. Their arrival is expected to enhance the firm’s ability to handle complex and high-value matters across its regional offices.

Jacqui Lazare, partner in the private capital team, welcomed the appointments, saying: ‘Jennifer and Henry’s addition to the team will further strengthen our offering’. She added that the team has ‘developed a reputation as leading private capital advisers in the South West’ since her own arrival in 2020.
