Firm strengthens catastrophic injury capability with partner promotions

Clyde & Co has promoted Sian Langer and Gemma Parker to partner, reinforcing its catastrophic injury and large loss offering across the south of England. The promotions support the firm’s continued investment in its insurance practice in key hubs including Bristol and Southampton.

Both Langer and Parker are specialists in large and complex loss claims for major insurers and together have more than 20 years’ service at the firm. Their work focuses on high-value, multi-party claims involving complex liability and quantum issues.

Langer (pictured) is recognised for her work on catastrophic personal injury cases, including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability and occupiers’ liability claims, often valued in the multi-million-pound range. Parker specialises in defending high value and catastrophic personal injury claims across employers’ liability, public liability, motor and Animals Act matters, including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.

Paula Jefferson, partner and chair of the UK casualty practice, said: ‘Sian and Gemma exemplify the expertise and dedication that underpin our success in the catastrophic injury space’, adding that their leadership would be ‘instrumental as we continue to deliver exceptional service to clients’.
