Prominent construction lawyer joins firm

Weightmans LLP has appointed Colette Morgan-Ford as partner in the firm’s construction team.

Colette joins Weightmans from Pinsent Masons and joins nine other specialist construction lawyers in their Manchester office.

She has over 15 years experience specialising in dispute resolution and strategic advice in relation to construction and engineering projects, including PFI. She has advised on the major  standard form suites of contracts such as FIDIC, JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts, and has represented contractors, sub contractors, employers and developers in adjudication, litigation, mediation and arbitration (both domestically and internationally).  

Colette has lectured on construction and engineering matters at the University of West of England, has published articles on matters of construction law and has delivered training to numerous clients and for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
