Firm attracts two key hires to its London insurance practice
Browne Jacobson continues to widen its insurance offering in the City with two new significant partner appointments.
London and Lloyd’s market insurance specialists, Colin Peck and Francis Mackie, join the national firm’s London office from Weightmans.
The two will join Browne Jacobson’s insurance/reinsurance team in London, whose client portfolio includes major insurers, Lloyd's syndicates and brokers, managing general agents, third party administrators, professional services firms and policyholders.
For over 25 years, Colin has advised on insurance and reinsurance policy coverage and related disputes, litigation, arbitration and mediation, focused on the London and Lloyd's markets. He advises on reinsurance, property damage, engineering/machinery breakdown, CAR/EAR/DSU, high net worth, specie and liability policies. He has considerable experience acting for clients on large scale industrial property damage/engineering and business interruption claims, often multi-jurisdictional, and is experienced in conducting arbitration, litigation and/or mediation both in London and internationally.
Francis has over 35 years’ experience in the London insurance and reinsurance market. He is well known for his expertise in the London market and international arbitration arena. His experience covers a wide range of insurance and reinsurance sectors, with particular experience in energy, professional indemnity, political risks/contract frustration, commercial property, financial institutions/D&O, pharmaceutical/product liability, contingency risks, binding authorities, and a range of reinsurances.
