DAC Beachcroft has appointed Will Sefton as a partner in its Bristol office, joining from RPC alongside legal director Anna Murley and associate Richard Seymour. Sefton is a recognised specialist in lawyers’ liability and professional indemnity, with more than 20 years’ experience advising on solicitors’ negligence, regulatory issues and complex indemnity matters.
A founding partner of RPC’s Bristol office and former head of its lawyers liability and regulatory group, Sefton is also known for developing innovative dispute resolution processes, including blind bidding negotiation through mediators. His arrival further strengthens DAC Beachcroft’s lawyers’ liability practice following a series of recent lateral hires.
Suzanne Wharton, head of DAC Beachcroft’s professional and commercial risk team, said: ‘Will’s arrival, together with his colleagues, substantially reinforces our professional indemnity offering regionally.’ She added that Sefton ‘truly embodies the collaborative, growth-focused culture we value here at DACB’.
Commenting on his move, Sefton said: ‘DACB offers a strong platform with a genuinely global insurance presence that aligns with the direction of my practice.’ He added: ‘I’m looking forward to seizing the opportunities that platform will provide to grow my practice.’
